Gorilla Thunder (how I like to call it) is part of a bigger project called FlitsFlats, where the big themes was "Lightning". That's why the image above isn't a video but a way to sent you to the website where all animation can be found. After seeing mine of course. 

With this animation I took a deep-dive into research, such as studying a gorilla for a day at the zoo. This helped a lot with the proportions and walking bits in the animation. 

The rest is online research, seeing gorilla's becoming a bit more wild, searching for old interior pieces to show the ape is smart and even to make the room not fit the character at the start. Lots of work before creating, I love it.
